The House:
The Carob Tree is a family-run B&B, situated in a picturesque rural area in the heart of Gozo. With spectacular views of several villages across the island, rest assured that visiting during any time of the year, you will be greeted with the most incredible scenery.
With each of the rooms at The Carob Tree, individually designed, our main goal was to create a calm yet sophisticated space to unwind in a true Mediterranean style. Common spaces include a breakfast/dining and kitchen area which also has a cozy lounge right next to a fireplace. The outdoor area consists of a private pool, which is surrounded by greenery along the walls, as well as seating and deck chairs to help you relax during your stay with us at The Carob Tree.
Location:
The location of the B&B, albeit rural, is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Victoria (the historic capital of Gozo), where you can taste local 'pastizzi' and a Kinnie, before you visit some of the most beautiful sites, such as the 'Cittadella', Pjazza San Gorg, and the numerous churches scattered across the city.
From the Carob Tree you have easy access to a number of beautiful scenic walks to various sights in the south-west of Gozo, including Ta Cenc, Sanap Cliffs, Mgarr ix-Xini, and Xlendi.
Xlendi, a seaside village, is only 3km away from The Carob Tree. Going there on foot is quite delightful, but you can also easily reach the bay by a short car trip or by public transport (a 16-minute bus ride). You can find nice restaurants in Xlendi, where you can enjoy local cuisine, such as fresh fish.
Rooms:
The rooms at The Carob Tree, have each been individually designed and carefully decorated in a traditional Maltese style with a colourful element. Our aim when designing the B&B was to make you feel at home whilst away from home.
All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, air-conditioning, queen-size beds, and luxury fixtures. The rooms are also equipped with desks, wardrobes, TV, and a WiFi connection, which also make The Carob Tree a perfect location to work remotely.
For us, design is as important as comfort, and therefore, all rooms are built using Maltese limestone walls, have high ceilings, and are tiled with handmade Gozitan cement tiles.
All our rooms are non-smoking and include Free Breakfast, Wifi, TV, Desk and Private Ensuite with shower. We love animals, however NO pets are allowed at The Carob Tree.
