Booking and payment terms

  • Please note that all policies listed here are only for bookings made directly via carobtreegozo.com. Any bookings made from other channels may have additional/different policies. Kindly refer to your booking channel for correct policies.
  • Standard minimum bookable stay is of 2 nights. During different seasons and at special occasions, minimum bookable nights may be increased.
  • The balance of your price must be paid before arrival date or on check-in.
  • Customers are required to provide for themselves all necessary insurances against personal injury, damage, theft, cancellation, delay, etc.
  • Cancellations of non-refundable bookings will not entitle guests to any refund, even if cancellations would have been occasioned by force majeure or restrictions related to COVID 19 or other health restrictions.
  • Non-Refundable bookings cannot be re-scheduled.
  • Free Cancellation allows you to cancel your reservation up until noon (Malta Time - CET) 5 days prior to your arrival without charge. So any deposits (down payments) will be fully refunded if cancelation is made by email to info@carobtreegozo.com within the eligible time period. This does NOT apply to any payments made by Gift Vouchers. If a Free Cancellation booking is made using a Gift Voucher, guests are only entitled to date modification with same conditions as follows.
  • Free Cancellation option also allows you to make date modifications until noon (Malta Time - CET) 2 days prior to your arrival without charge.
    • Guests can only reschedule for the same or a higher price booking.
    • Booking change of dates are only allowed once and booking becomes non-refundable after a modification has been made.
    • Changes can only reflect real-time availability, rates and restrictions.
  • Information collected from website forms will be stored in a database in order to process my request.
    In accordance with the "General Data Protection Regulation", you can exercise your right to access to your data and make them rectified via the contact form.
  • When booking a Queen Room, the room number / name / level is not guaranteed and may change until actual check-in.
  • Children under the age of 3 may stay for free with the parents. The infant may share bed with parents or a baby cot may be pre booked (extra cot fee applies), please notify us while booking by adding it as an extra. Please note that baby cots are only available if pre booked along with your booking. Baby cot may be requested for all rooms except in “Ħawħa” (Double Room with Terrace).

Arrival & Departure

  • Unless otherwise stated, check in is from 3pm until 6pm. For late check-ins please contact us so we can arrange self-check-in. Please note: full payment must be settled beforehand in case of self-check-in.
  • All rooms must be vacated by 10am in order for us to prepare the room for the next incoming guests.

General Property rules

  • Quiet Hours (22:00 - 07:00): You are free to use common areas anytime day and night. However, it is strictly prohibited to make any loud noises or have group gatherings (both inside and outside) after 10pm. Please respect our neighbors and other guests who are staying at the Carob Tree for a peaceful night. Group chatting and laughter travels very quickly in the house and can easily disturb other guests.
  • Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Carob Tree reserves the right to check photo identification. 
  • No visitors are allowed on the premises without our express permission.
  • No pets are allowed at The Carob Tree.
  • We are not responsible for any noise or disturbance going on in the nearby area such as traffic or construction works.
